Revelation 6

17 For the great day of their[g] wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”

The chapter feels very dark, I can only think I would hate to be on the wrong side of the ledger when this time comes.

  1. I know what you mean. It feels ominous. I was talking with my dad a week ago...I went over and went fishing with him. I was telling him that Revelation is hard for me for a couple of reasons. First, I'm visual in thought.....its a mess I get lost in. Second, its so strange and confusing that I don't know what God is trying to me. What's the message he wants me to get from the chapter? I think its his dominance over anything and everything. Chapter 5 says that only the lamb can open the seals. Chapter 6 describes the seals and what happens upon their breaking. The last verse, which is your verse, shows how all the pleebs react as he is opening these seals. They are shaking in caves, asking the rocks to fall on them. So much for earthly power. So, to me the entire book is about Christ's power. Even tough I don't understand all the imagery and reference....the key is the person who is in control of all of it.
    sorry, it got long
