“It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
I copied this one because God LITERALLY says this is important and true. It is a declaration of his power, and taste of what he will do for us.....and a little bit more of what we should stay away from. Interesting.
This chapter also goes into a very detailed description of the new Jerusalem. Much like the description of the temple in the old testament. All same/same/similar.
17 The angel measured the wall using human measurement, and it was 144 cubits[d] thick.[e]
ReplyDeleteI just noted throughout this chapter the describing of the new Jerusalem in very physical and in this case explicitly state human measurements. I don't understand the significance but when I usually think of heaven I tend to think of it in a spiritual form--this makes me realize it is very real and tangible. I don't know what form things will be compared what I know today, but it appears it will be very defined and visual, very real not just spirits without any physical presence. no deep take just some realization for me.
