Isaiah 6

8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

I would love to say that is me.  I would love to be burning with desire to serve God that I shout 'Send Me!'  into whatever situation he needs me to serve.  I think reality is I have a much more cautious approach---let me analyze the situation for a moment.   Yes ok, this seems ok not too much risk or overly difficult and within my comfort zone--yes I'll do it.

Too be candid I don't see myself changing clear to Here am I. Send Me!, but maybe I can move on the spectrum closer to that end.

  1. There's so much rich imagery in this chapter. It sounds like Revelation to me. I love the "here I am send me" line. It's one of my aspirational favorites.

With two wings they covered their faces, with two their feet, and with two they flew. And they called back and forth one to the other,

I think this verse is interesting. Why do they cover their feet and their faces? I guess I understand the feet....feet are disgusting. But, I don't get the faces. Maybe deflecting any attention on themselves? Giving the ultimate glory to God? hmm...
