13 That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.
This is another difficult chapter in a series of downers. I think Solomon is searching for the meaning of life and struggling with whether or not anything he does matters, a question I have wrestled with at times.
I take away that we are looking through a lens that is like a pin hole in a piece of paper, we can't begin to imagine how good things will be in the end when we are with God in heaven. The verse I chose says to me make the most of everyday and every situation i find myself in the daily toil is a gift from God.

I like it....I read this one on Friday, but really didn't have a good "pull" from it. I was hoping you'd have something good.
ReplyDeleteOne other thing I thought of over the weekend....is to have a discussion with my kids about God giving you satisfaction for a hard job, well done. Sometimes I can't get them to do much, and this might be a good motivational technique for them to understand that they were made to be happy working hard.
I know, I know. But, its worth a shot!
total lol!
