I need to remind myself that if I am truly full of the Holy Spirit I won't have to worry about having the right words to say when in conversations with others about God's Grace. I sometimes am hesitant to engage in discussion and debate for fear I won't have the answers and will do more harm than good, but the wisdom doesn't come from my own brain so no need to worry.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if its because I'm getting older, and have less care for what other people think about me, but I've become much more apt to chime into the conversation, and tell my side of the story.
Its funny how our "western" society is supposed to be open to different ideas and beliefs, but it seems like conservative Christianity is the only belief system that people don't have much tolerance for.
You can be homosexual, and that's ok....you can be a militant anti-government, and that puts you on a watch list, you can completely denegrate out US society in public, and nothing will happen....but, if you proclaim Jesus as the Christ, people get really nervous!
strange days!....wasn't it Paul that said, "beware, for the days are evil"...i remember reading that line in Ephesians, i think
