21 You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God.
Just like Simon, it doesn't matter if we tithe to the church with our money or give of our time to others if our hearts are not right with God. These are actions that are good for us but earn us nothing. Not by works but by faith we received His Grace.

that point is the one that digs at me. There are lots of time when I'm right with God AND doing the right things. But, more often I think, I'm doing the right things, but DON'T have my heart in the right place. It seems really difficult to keep myself there, and before I know it.....I've slipped again, and don't feel connected to God at all. I find it to be very frustrating.
