Micah 2

13 The One who breaks open the way will go up before them;
    they will break through the gate and go out.
Their King will pass through before them,
    the Lord at their head.”

Micah seemed to be pretty clued in and have a direct line to God.  We have a famous prophecy from Micah yet to come, but I wonder how people in his day took his message?  Did he have credibility or was he a crazy man?  Often it seems like it would have been easier to understand the bible living in the day, but in this instance it seems we almost have an advantage today seeing things that have unfolded as prophesied.  Our faith today should be strengthened by the knowledge that the Bible is true and our human minds can see proof of it in fulfilled prophecy, giving us even more comfort in the truth of yet to be fulfilled prophecy.

Have a great weekend.

  1. I wonder about that too, Did the prophets look like the crazy homeless guy standing on the corner with the sandwhich board, saying the end is near. And maybe more importantly, should we be paying more attention to the people that claim God is talking to them? Did God's plan of prophesy stop with Jesus, or are there still peple that hear directly from God in this manner?
