44 4 Again and again I sent my servants the prophets, who said, ‘Do not do this detestable thing that I hate!’
I didn't take much new from today's chapters but I just was sensing the exasperation in His efforts to teach them a lesson. I keep telling you what I want very clearly and you keep ignoring and disobeying my direct instructions...what else do you want me to do?? I think I've had this conversation with my kids...come on just do what I ask, do you want me to yell at you??!!!
Why is it so difficult for us to follow God's clear directions for us? I'm not sure, but I'm sure it is difficult for ALL of us.

I agree with you on the exaxperation statement. I can't imagine the patience God must have. If you look at humans in totality. We made a bad choice to follow our own desires rather than his......and got kicked out of paradise because of it. We have been trying to get back into paradise ever since. The only problem, and its a REALLY BIG ONE, is that we keep trying to do get there or find it on our own. Why do we do that?
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with your question. Why is it so hard to follow God's direction. Sometimes it really frustrates me. I keep thinking of what Paul wrote in Ephesians....i think it was. Where he talks about his own frustration with following God's direction. I can sense his exasperation with himself, the same that I feel sometimes.
