11 The word of the Lord came to Solomon: 12 “As for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, observe my laws and keep all my commands and obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise I gave to David your father. 13 And I will live among the Israelites and will not abandon my people Israel.”
This verse resonated with me today. What strikes me is that same promise has been given to us. If we CHOOSE God, and live a life with him as our compass and director.....I believe he promises he will be with us. The decision is up to us. That's what keep bouncing around inside my melon. Its up to me. That's the way God wants it. He wants me to make a conscious decision to follow his direction. To choose him, over myself, over this world, over everything else that vies for my attention and heart. I need to build my temple around him and for him.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what happened to my previous comments. I wasn't paying attention but the past few days comments I've made on your posts did not stick. I just now noticed it. I think it had something to do with the new browser I was trying to use. I really didn't have much to add to these chapters so I won't go back and try to recreate my notes now. sorry if it looked like you were in a vacuum, I really was along for the ride last week. I will try to carry the torch this week. enjoy your vacation!
