Matthew 13

28 “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.
“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’
29 “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”
I don't really remember this story.  I remember the story of the sower.  But, this one struck me today.  This is a new idea to me.  That getting rid of the weeds might hurt the good plants.  Can we extrapolate that to mean that getting rid of all the evil people in the world might hurt the good people?
Interesting idea that I hadn't thought of.  I explains God's plan a little bit.  Let everyone run their life and sort it out in the end.  You don't really make it to the bad pile or the good pile until the very end.
hmmm.  (have you noticed that I end a lot of my posts with that? hahaha)

  1. hmmm...now that you mention it I do--ha.

8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.

Quick hit for me just re-enforcing the importance of being rooted in scripture. In spite of our best intentions if we don't have this root system we can be easily destroyed by challenges we may face in life. We also can't produce much fruit for God if we are shallow in our knowledge of him.
