26 You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.
so ch. 19 is a lot about the Commandments and 20 seems like a replay of one of the chapters we just read. My take is God set apart Israel and they needed to act and behave differently. We have have Jesus to take away our sins when we fail, but just the same its on us to behave differently as Christians.
We shouldn't just fall into the same immoral behaviors that fill our society today. We should do our best to follow God's instruction--seems like it should be obvious to on-lookers that there is something about you if you are trying with all your heart to follow God's instruction. Fortunately we have the ultimate lifeline in Jesus to cover our failures. But I hope in spite of my failures I can shine for Him.

I struggle with knowing I look different. I'm not sure I do. Something good to think about.
ReplyDelete2 things hit me, (lightly) from the read. Do not visit mediums.....I agree, but MANY people do now-a-days. Do not get tatoos.....not sure I see why...but again, MANY young people are doing it today. In fact, Max has a fore-arm tatoo. Couldn't wait to turn 18 and get a tat!
What's the matter with these kids....I weep for the future. (some old guy once said)

ha on tattoos. Luke has one on his shoulder, it says Whitey with stripes on it like the old race car. I was against the tattoo until he showed me his design, then I was like wow thats cool he wants to remember his grandpa he didn't even know. but yeah what is it with them
