Proverbs 29

15 A rod and a reprimand impart wisdom,
    but a child left undisciplined disgraces its mother.

17 Discipline your children, and they will give you peace;
    they will bring you the delights you desire.

I like these 2 today.  Its a good reminder that our kids need us to be their parents first, and their friends second:  Not the other way around.

I'm getting  burned out on reading thru these Proverbs, I'm glad the end is near.  Its not that it isn't good stuff, but I'm needing a little more story/context.

you dig?

  1. totally agree with your comments, kids need the boundaries we give them.

    23 Pride lands you flat on your face;
    humility prepares you for honors.

    Also like this one, I used the Message version. I sometimes feel pride causing my lips to move, when I do its time to shut up.

    I do like Proverbs but agree I'm ready for something else. You pick, I'll follow.
