Bottom line is.....if its from God, you aren't going to stand in the way of it.
I find myself reading this chapter and thinking 2 things;
1. I wish God was as visibly active today in our world as he was back then. Maybe he is, and I'm not looking thru the right glasses.......but, MAN!!!! to be witness to the things written in here, WOW!
2. Its quite a transformation from a guy who denied Jesus 3 times in 1 night....to this Peter boldly standing in front of the Sandhidrin, and giving them the "what-for". That kind of human change can only come from one source of power. It can't be Peter alone making the decisions.

i love your comment about Peter. I mean if the guy can deny Jesus to his face then be his biggest proponent is there anyone who can't be changed?
ReplyDeleteI had a good conversation with my brother at his bachelor party last weekend. He was coming clean about how much of a struggle his life has been and how he was mad that Dad wasn't there for him (not mad at dad just the situation). He said he lacked direction, I told him you may not want to here this but for me its God. He said to tell you the truth I can see no evidence of that, I didn't push I say I can respect his perspective but its not what I believe. He was appreciative that I didn't push. Yet I was feeling his situation was kind of hopeless, but your point about Peter gives me hope. I would like it for you to join me in prayer over this next year or what ever time it takes for Jeff to find Jeff to find Jesus.
