Leviticus 21-22

22:31 “Keep my commands and follow them. I am the Lord. 32 Do not profane my holy name, for I must be acknowledged as holy by the Israelites. I am the Lord, who made you holy 33 and who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the Lord.”

well this is a real slog.  i didn't get anything out of these two chapter.  At the very end God drops a reminder in there, probably knowing we humans have short memories.

look forward to seeing if you pull anything out

  1. 24 You must not offer to the Lord an animal whose testicles are bruised, crushed, torn or cut.
Of all the things that could be wrong......why this? Weird.

I grabbed the final verse as well. Not having any of the other details jump out. It strikes me how specific and tight this all is/was. It makes me understand a little bit, the push back from the people over time. This is so prescriptive, if you aren't all in.....you might wander away from it.
That's why the summations keep reminding us that God is God and we must obey the commands. He keeps reminding them why they need to do all of this, somewhat crazy, stuff.

    There....nothing major. just reflections.
