Ephesians 6

17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
The word of God is the only Offensive weapon listed here.  Actually, it could be said that the sword is both defensive and offensive.  That's why its been so huge to do this for the past 10 months.  I can tell a difference when I approach difficult situations.  Often times, a verse will pop into my head that we've read and discussed.  There is absolutely no substitute for being in the word everyday.  Its really hard to make it to church every Sunday during the summertime. Its easy to slip out of a good God mindset, but reading everyday puts me right there.  To me, its the difference between being a fed Christian vs being a self-feeder.  I definitely want to be a self-feeder.

have a good Tues

  1. I agree with your comments I really like the imagery that follows this verse-- 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

preparing for all circumstances by being reading the bible daily and connecting to God through prayers.

I've been having trouble sleeping this week and getting up on time but I will catch up with you.
