16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in[d] Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
thank goodness for His grace! no big take here, just a clear reminder there is nothing I can do on my own to be worthy and saved I must place my faith in Jesus.
We did a BIG church-wide study on the book called, The hole in our Gospel. It was really eye opening to see how many references there are in the bible that tell us to help the marginalized, the poor, the underpriveledged, the widows......I find it interesting that in verse 10, Paul says, "All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eaeger to do all along." It seems like a reference from left field, and not what he was really talking about at all.....but strikes at the importance for helping others out. Especially, those that are under-priveledged.
